I’m always a bit unsure how much of myself to reveal on a website; too little and people may be understandably wary; too much and it becomes about me when the client is first and foremost. I’m working face to face @ Sage Therapy Centre and online from my home in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire. I am open to working with anyone, though my strengths are in supporting those with low self-esteem and low self worth. These are issues that have affected me personally but I’ve been able to make huge changes to my mindset and I’m able to manage feelings of self doubt when they come (no one feels confident all the time!). I can finally accept myself for who I am in a way I never thought possible before. This has had a positive impact on my relationships with family and friends. I forgive my ‘faults’ and my mistakes. I’m not afraid of criticism as it doesn’t impact upon my inner self. I feel a sense of pride and worth in who I am. I believe that everyone has the right and privilege to know that feeling and think “you know what, I’m ok”.

I practise a form of Person-Centred counselling that is based around many ideas and principles. The main one being for me- ‘You know you best’. If you want somebody to direct you towards a certain path or analyse why you’ve made particular life choices, I may not be a good fit. If however you want somebody to accept you as you, I could be the right counsellor for you.

I also offer more specialist support to men with infertility and parents who are struggling with the behaviour of their children. I have undergone specialist training in these areas and am ready to help whenever these are the main presenting issues for clients. If home schooling and isolation have been getting too much I could be just the right person to help.
